Question: Why is the Angel Deluxe 8500s Juicer so popular? Is it because it can juice faster and has a higher extraction rate than the 7500 and 5500 models? And because of the 316 stainless steel?
Answer: The Angel Deluxe 8500s CANNOT juice faster and DOES NOT have a higher extraction rate than the other models.

Angel Juicers are mostly hand crafted by highly skilled craftsman, hence the longer production time and higher unit price. However the final product is of course a very high quality!

The Angel Juicer is one of the hardest cold press juicers to operate (but much easier than the Norwalk Press Juicer)
Definitely requires much skill to operate this machine properly
When pushing the Plunger while juicing, it tends to lift the back of the machine up a little. We believe the front feet have been incorrectly positioned. To negate this problem put a little pressure on the Motor Housing with your left hand whilst juicing. (In approximately 2007 onwards we have asked the manufacturer to reposition the front feet a little further forward; yet despite this design flaw their sales have continually grown and they are not interested in rectifying this small design fault.)
Much easier to operate than the old Norwalk Hydraulic Press; however, generally more difficult to operate compared to most other cold press / slow juicers;
People with arthritic hands will experience difficulty applying a constant, light pressure on the plunger when pushing produce slowly through the chute;
The twin gears can be a little difficult to remove sometimes. To negate this, switch the machine into reverse for a few seconds before disassembly
The Standard Extractor Housing (Vegetable Screen) really struggles with soft fruit such as pineapple, soft / dry apples, watermelon etc, which can cause the juice to back up the chute after juicing just 1/2 a glass: Solution 1: feed the pineapple pieces slowly, and or place a small packer under rear feet to cause the juicing chamber to slope down a little; Solution 2: feed the pineapple pieces slowly and when congestion begins (usually after 1/2 a glass), put through some carrot to clear the congestion, then you can resume juicing pineapple etc; Solution 3: if juice backs up chute when juicing apples, put juicer into reverse and push the plunger down chute until the juice quickly flows into the juice bowl, then turn machine on forward again. This is usually quite effective. You can also mix apples with pineapples and do the same thing; Solution 4: order the new optional 'Soft Fibre / Fruit Extracting Housing / Juicing Screen' via the Angel Juicer Parts page, as this has larger holes than the Vegetable Screen and can usually juice soft fruit a little easier Solution 5: order the Green Power Kempo Juicer which juices soft fruit much easier
When soaking the Juicing Screen, only soak the screen area, not the sensor area; as the sensor area has a piece of ferrous metal which is used to activate a safety switch inside the juicer base. If the ferrous metal rusts away, the switch will not work
The end of the juicer needs to be lifted slightly to allow the Juice Bowl to slide under the Juicing Screen, and again to remove it
The Silicon Ring that fits between the Juicer and Juicing Screen can tear easily if not careful. The manufacturer is currently (2014) working on an even better quality Ring
The Owner's Manual could be translated into English better than it is
The complimentary poly-carbonate Juice & Pulp Bowls are not dishwasher safe and are not covered by warranty
Cannot put the pulp back through a second time, as the pulp behaves akin to cement and can damage the juicer / and voids the warranty
Cannot juice sugar-cane
The Silicone Ring breaks easily and is expensive to replace
Due to excessive warranty claims e.g. Control Board failure rate, it was not financially sustainable to continue with the Angel Juicer

The juicer came before the estimated delivery time which was great. This is the first juicer I've owned and don't regret spending so much on it. It juices all the fruits and vegetables great and makes a great quality juice which tastes a lot better than previous juicers I've tried. I bought the extra attachments and love making sorbets and nut butters from it. I've also made some almond milk and it tastes so much better than store bought. Today, for example, I juiced 4 carrots, 1 miniature cucumber, 3 stalks of celery, 3 kale leaves and a pinch of ginger. I got a yield of 20 ounces of juice with a super dry pulp weight of 3.1 ounces. You can even feed the pulp back into the machine if you really want to extract every morsel from the produce. And no, I am not getting paid to endorse this juicer."

It is great for juicing wheatgrass, though the pulp does clog up the end a little.
My feed back is that the juices taste fabulous, the pulp is extremely dry, the stainless steel quality is excellent.
Things I would like to have known are that cleaning is awkward. The housing being all one piece makes for some nooks and crannies that are hard to get to.
The silicone ring split on day three of juicing. At $8 and $10 postage a pop it may be an expensive undertaking.
The toothbrush supplied keeps leaving its bristles in the holes of the housing. I just use a regular toothbrush now.
We do like a little tomato in our veggie juices and even adding small amounts and using carrot after each piece it clogs up a lot.
I am not saying I wouldn\'t buy the Angel based on this, just that I would like a more balance on the not quite so great features.
The juicer has been used 3 times a day for the few weeks we have had it and works a dream for wheatgrass and hard veggies.

The standard screen that comes with the Angel juicer is not designed for juicing soft fruits. I did find that it took a bit of cleaning at first, but like anything after a while you get used to it and get better and faster at it. Mine to did sometimes tilt if I pushed down to hard when pushing hard vegetables down the chute with the plunger. I overcame this by firstly only putting enough pressure without forcing the produce and by cutting things like carrots into more narrower pieces which made them go throw easier. I found holding the Angel juicer under the feed chute if something required a bit more pressure."

Just purchased the Angel 8500s after months of surfing the net about juicers and watching youtube reviews.
I live in Brisbane, Australia and was able to buy my machine for $1350.00 It was worth every cent. After nothing but dramas with a cheap nasty Compact Vert juicer, I purchased the best. This machine makes so much more juice from the same amount of produce that I would have put through my old juicer, I now need a larger bottle to put it in. A truly quality product.
Do yourself a favour. If your into regular juicing as I am, and you don't want to be disappointed with a cheap nasty juicer letting you down. Buy an Angel juicer.

I've had a greenpower juicer and threw it out after I purchased an Angel juicer from you. The Angel is by far a much better juicer in terms of its construction and the quantity (and probably the quality) of juice obtained. Also, after a while, the plastic on the greenpower twin gears cracks which is not good for a juicer which wants to dominate the market.
I say, stand your ground and '$%&@' them off, for good. On a much happier note, I'm still thrilled with my Angel and the two distillers I bought from you. I hope Bob-Bruce and Ruffles are doing fine.

Tips to maximize effective juicing with your Angel Juicer:
The Angel Juicer's twin gears are designed to operate at a slow RPM in order to keep almost 100% of the enzymes and nutrients alive during the juicing process. The Super Angel Juicer is the only juicer on the market that limits twin gear speeds to 80-82 RPM. Accordingly, to maintain the juicer's effectiveness, you should not overload the feeding chute. Doing so may cause the gears to jam and limit maximum enzyme and nutrient extraction.
Not let's start juicing:
Completely depress food into the feeding chute with the wooden pusher and then feed
additional food. (Do not worry if the wooden pusher touches the twin gears, as it will not harm the gears or plunger.
The plunger is made from the same high quality wood as those found in fine chopping blocks.
Any accidental particles of cellulose scrapped off from contact with the twin gears are natural and non-toxic, and will harmlessly pass through with the pulp.)
If jamming occurs, press and hold the 'Reverse' Button for 2 to 3 seconds (or press and hold
down as required until it clears) and then press the 'Start' Button to continue juicing.
Depending on the severity of the jam, you may need to repeat this process 2 or more times.
Do not apply excessive force (pressure) while pushing food down into the feeding chute. Only moderate pressure is required to avoid over loading / jamming of the machine.
Helpful Hints for Juicing:
Bananas: You cannot juice bananas with the Angel Juicer! If you try to juice bananas with the Vegetable Screen or Soft Fibre Screen, it only results in a mess of squashed banana;
Pears: Pears are similar to bananas and are very difficult to juice with the Angel Juicer, even with the Soft Fibre Screen;
Carrots: Cutting carrots is not necessary as long as the diameters fits into the feeding chute. However, for best results, we suggest you cut the carrots lengthwise into 5 to 6 inches long and always insert the thinner part first, as it will be grabbed more effectively by the twin gears. Please insert one piece at a time so the produce can be crushed completely. Do not put a number of small chopped pieces of carrots into the feeding chute at the same time, otherwise blockage / congestion will likely occur;
Dandelion, Parsley, Endive or other leafy greens: By feeding small handfuls at a time, the leafy greens will be self fed into the juicer by the twin gears. Please insert the stem (stalk) part of the leafy greens first for self feeding;
Wheat grass: Feed small handfuls of wheat grass at a time into the feeding chute. The wooden pusher may not be necessary as the wheat grass will be self fed into the machine as long as appropriate amounts are fed at a time. Do not overload.
Juicing soft fruits:
The Standard Extractor Housing (Vegetable Screen) struggles with soft fruit such as pineapple, which can cause the juice to back up the chute:
Solution 1: feed the pineapple pieces slowly, and or place a small packer under rear feet to cause the juicing chamber to slope down a little;
Solution 2: feed the pineapple pieces slowly and when congestion begins (usually after 1/2 a glass), put through some carrot to clear the congestion, then you can resume juicing pineapple etc;
Solution 3: if juice backs up chute when juicing apples, put juicer into reverse and push the plunger down chute until the juice quickly flows into the juice bowl, then turn machine on forward again. This is usually quite effective. You can also mix apples with pineapples and do the same thing;
Solution 4: simply order the new optional 'Soft Fibre / Fruit Extracting Housing / Juicing Screen' via the Angel Juicer Parts page, as this has larger holes than the Vegetable Screen and can usually juice soft fruit a little easier;

6: Clean the Screen Housing & Twin Gears with the Cleaning Brush under running water
The hardest part to clean of any juicer is the 'juicing screen.' Below are some additional tips to help make cleaning as easy as possible:
Cleaning immediately after juicing is best, as the pulp comes off faster and easier;
The Angel Juicer stainless steel parts can also be washed in a dishwasher, which makes cleaning even easier. (Note: only use good quality, non corrosive dishwasher detergent, as there is a small piece of ferrous steel encased there which is used with the safety switch;)
The tiny holes in the 'juicing screen' of all cold press juicers eventually become clogged, which causes the juice to back up the chute and slows down juicing. It can also cause damage to the Juicing Screen. The easiest remedy is to soak the juicing screen overnight in Ezy Kleen Stain Remover, which is a simple and effective method of cleaning the part and makes it like brand new again. (Note: keep the end with the hopper out of the water, as there is a small piece of ferrous steel encased there which is used with the safety switch.)
Never
put the pulp back into the juicer, it will damage the juicing screen and makes
void the warranty!
The emphasis of cold press juicers is to produce a high quality juice. This is accomplished by 1) cutting hard produce into smaller strips / pieces 2) and juicing slowly. Although patience is essential, the rewards are really fantastic.
Cold
press juicers are excellent for juicing vegetables or a combination
of vegetable and some fruit.
Cold
press juicers are really good at juicing wheat grass, but you must feed wheatgrass through the juicer very slowly, or congestion WILL occur.
Cold press juicers often struggle with soft fruit such as watermelon and especially pineapple; although the Vita Juice Juicer is really good with most soft fruit.(The LexSun Standard Juicer, LexSun Elite Juicer copes with sloppy fruit the best. The Angel Juicer really struggles with sloppy fruit and fruit in general, although the optional Soft Fibre Screen does help.)
When
juicing a lot of soft fruit such as pineapple or watermelon, simply feed the pieces through slower and be patient. Adding some
carrot, beetroot or celery also helps prevent clogging.
When
juicing apples, Granny Smith apples (or
similar) are best, as they are a hard fruit and contain more juice. Some varieties of red apples are not suitable for cold press juicers (or high speed juicers) as they have a dry consistency, which results in a mushy pulp, little juice and clogged juicing screen.
Fibrous produce such as kale & celery can be very difficult to juice. Tip: 1) Use young leaves, 2) Feed very slowly through your juicer, 3) omit the fibrous stalks and 4) add carrot intermittently to clear any blockages / congestion that may occur.
Cleanliness: It is essential that your juicer be properly cleaned and maintained for normal use. The small holes in the Juicing Screen must be thoroughly cleaned and unblocked; otherwise unnecessary harm can be caused to the gearbox and motor, and juicing will be slower and more difficult. Juice backing up the chute? In 99.9% of the cases where the juice backs up the chute and the juicer is not operating as good as it once was, it is because the tiny holes on the juicing screen have become progressively clogged after repeated use, and normal washing is not always sufficient to remove the pulp. Solution: Soak the part/s in a dessertspoon of Ezy Kleen powder and warm / hot water overnight; rinse in water the following morning and the juicer will usually operate just like new. Ezy Kleen can be purchased here.
Difficult to Juice Items Warning and Making Ice-Cream
Juicing sugarcane - cold press juicers should NEVER be used to juice sugarcane under normal circumstances. Sugarcane is extremely fibrous and tough and WILL destroy your cold press juicer if you feed sugarcane as lumps, pieces or even strips. EXCEPTION: The only acceptable method of juicing sugarcane with a cold press juicer is to cut the outer husk etc off the sugarcane, then blend the sugarcane in a blender such as the Omniblend V Professional Blender, until it has become a smoother consistency, then slowly pour through your cold press juicer so that it can separate the juice from the pulp. If your juicer struggles or groans whilst juicing sugarcane, either feed the blended sugarcane more slowly, or stop juicing sugarcane altogether.
Juicing coconut - should NEVER be used to juice coconut under normal circumstances. However, coconut can be juiced if you follow the instructions for juicing sugarcane above.
Juicing pomegranate - although cold press juicers can juice pomegranate, the seeds must be removed first or damage to the juicer can ensue.
Juicing Bananas - you cannot juice bananas with cold press juicers! If you try to juice bananas with cold press juicers, it only results in a mess of squashed banana.
Making ice-cream - most cold press juicers are capable of making ice-cream and sorbet etc. A common mistake is to take frozen bananas and strawberries straight from the freezer and put them down the chute, which in most cases results in breakage of the juicer. Putting frozen food down the chute is like putting rocks in your juicer, DO NOT DO IT! To prevent damaging your cold press juicer, let your frozen fruit unfreeze a little so that it loses its 'rock like' features.
